Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 14 April 2025

These terms apply when you use the Hikmah website at hikmahs.pro or enrol in any Hikmah programme. Please read them carefully. By submitting an enquiry, registering for a programme or using the website, you accept these terms.

Hikmah Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore-registered company. Our registered address is 28 Cross Street, #15-09, Singapore 048421. If you have questions about these terms, write to [email protected].

1. Our services

Hikmah provides financial education programmes for adults. These programmes are educational in nature. They are not financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, tax advice or any other form of regulated advice under Singapore law.

Participation in a Hikmah programme does not create an adviser-client relationship between Hikmah and any participant. Nothing in a Hikmah session, material or written summary constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any financial product.

If you require financial advice, legal advice or any other regulated service, you should consult an appropriately licensed professional. Hikmah facilitators are not licensed financial advisers under the Financial Advisers Act.

2. Enrolment and payment

A place in a programme is confirmed when Hikmah sends you a written confirmation by email and payment has been received. Payment must be made in full before the first session of the programme.

Hikmah accepts payment by PayNow and bank transfer. Payment details are provided in the confirmation email. Fees are stated in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax where required by Singapore law.

Current programme fees are:

Money and the Middle Decades — SGD 200 per participant

The Singapore Household Investment Course — SGD 480 per participant

The Family Conversations Track — SGD 800 per household

Hikmah reserves the right to revise fees for future cohorts. The fee applicable to your enrolment is the fee confirmed in writing at the time of registration.

3. Cancellation and refunds

If you need to withdraw from a programme, the following conditions apply:

All withdrawal requests must be made in writing to [email protected]. The date of your written request is treated as the withdrawal date for refund calculation purposes.

4. Programme changes and cancellation by Hikmah

Hikmah reserves the right to reschedule sessions, change the format of delivery (in-person to online, or the reverse) or substitute facilitators where necessary. We will give participants as much notice as reasonably practicable.

If Hikmah cancels a programme before it begins — for example, due to insufficient enrolment or circumstances beyond our control — participants will receive a full refund of the programme fee. Hikmah's liability in such circumstances is limited to the fee paid.

Hikmah is not responsible for any costs incurred by a participant in connection with a programme, such as travel expenses, accommodation or time away from work.

5. Conduct during programmes

Participants are expected to engage respectfully with facilitators and other participants. Hikmah operates a small-group format that depends on an atmosphere of considered discussion. Behaviour that disrupts sessions or causes distress to others may result in a participant being asked to withdraw, without refund.

Participants may not record sessions without the prior written consent of Hikmah and of all other participants in the session. Group sessions are recorded by Hikmah and recordings are made available to enrolled participants; these recordings are for personal use only and may not be shared.

6. Intellectual property

All course materials — including PDF reading materials, presentation slides and session recordings — are the intellectual property of Hikmah Pte. Ltd. They are provided for the personal educational use of enrolled participants and may not be reproduced, distributed, sold, adapted or shared without Hikmah's written permission.

This restriction extends to sharing materials with individuals who are not enrolled in the programme, uploading materials to any platform, and using materials for commercial purposes of any kind.

7. Confidentiality — Family Conversations Track

The Family Conversations Track involves private sessions in which household members may share sensitive personal and financial information. Hikmah treats all such information with strict discretion. Facilitators are bound by a confidentiality obligation and may not disclose the content of sessions to any third party, except where required by Singapore law.

Written session summaries are provided to the enrolled household only. They are not stored in a format accessible to other Hikmah staff beyond the facilitator assigned to the programme.

8. Limitation of liability

Hikmah's programmes are intended to improve participants' understanding of financial matters. The information provided in sessions and materials is believed to be accurate at the time of delivery, but financial regulations, tax rules and product terms change over time. Participants are responsible for verifying any information before acting on it.

Hikmah is not liable for any financial loss, investment loss, tax liability or other consequence arising from decisions made by a participant following a programme. This includes decisions made in reliance on information provided in a session, material or written summary.

To the extent permitted by Singapore law, Hikmah's total liability to a participant in connection with a programme is limited to the programme fee paid by that participant.

9. Website use

The Hikmah website is provided for informational purposes. While we take care to ensure that content is accurate, we do not warrant that the website is free from errors or that it will be available at all times. We may update, modify or remove content without notice.

You may not use the Hikmah website in any way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation or that involves scraping, data mining or the systematic extraction of content without Hikmah's prior written consent.

10. Privacy

Personal data collected through the website and programmes is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By enrolling in a programme or using the website, you consent to the collection and use of personal data as described in that policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these terms is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

12. Changes to these terms

Hikmah may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Last Updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website or participation in a programme after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For material changes affecting current enrolments, Hikmah will notify affected participants by email.
